The Legacy Challenge has always sounded really fun.  I’ve read all these fantastic blogs (which I’ve linked to off in the sidebar thingey) and stories about different people’s experiences with the challenge, and it’s always seemed like something I should try.

Well, this is my attempt.  I’ll be playing according to Pinstar’s official rules, as well as the optional rules of Family Trait and StoryTeller (let’s see how bad the fail is).  I’ve played a few sims with the evil trait and its always been really fun.  I love their animations!  So, the Family Trait will be Evil.  Bet you didn’t see that one coming!

Ahem, sorry, couldn’t resist.  Anywho!  I decided on a male founder.  And I got him from a fantastic creator on ModTheSims, Feldynn, who made him for the official Good vs. Evil contest, but I found him over at ModTheSims.  I tweaked him a bit, name and traits, but otherwise ran with him.

My goal is to finish the challenge, all ten generations.  We’ll see how far I get.  Heirs will be determined through reader vote.

  1. Hello!

I lolled on ‘let’s see how bad the fail is’ 😀 And when you mentioned the family trait is gonna be Evil, you totally caught my attention! I think evil Sims are so much fun to play with. Stealing candies and all that NICE stuff 🙂

Plus I love that you’ve chosen a male founder, because most of the legacies I’ve been reading start with a female (mine as well, hihi). Well, let see what he looks like, shall we? 😉

    1. I tend to be really bad at following rules, and break them in weird, un-intentional ways.
I chose a male founder for pretty much that reason. 🙂 Everyone tends to choose females, and I have major female characters in my other Sims 3 story, the Mayfields. So it was time for a change.

    1. Thanks! ^_^
Sunset Valley’s definitely my favorite. Though, I recently found a custom world I’m really enjoying. It’s Sunsey Valley 2nd Edition, basical just an opened up Sunset Valley. More space, more expansions, same townies.

      1. I probably will. I’ve discovered NyQuil Severe. It makes my head feel weird and everything seems hilarious, but my sore throat’s gone after a day and I’ve only got the sniffles left. It pretty amazing! But it does make everything seem hilarious. So posting right now doesn’t seem like a good idea. Even though it does, but I know that’s just the NyQuil talking.

      2. Nope I get plenty sick. We have cough medicines and stuff but the really good ones are hard to get because they’ve had to be regulated as people were making speed out of them. Maybe you have the same problems over there?

      3. What?! O_o I’ve never heard of that…but I guess I can believe it. At my college it gets stressful…REALLY stressful. Sometimes cough syrup is used as a relaxer or a sleep aid, just because everything builds up and you need something to calm you down. I’ve used it as a sleep aid during finals week, simply because otherwise I’d lie awake worrying, not giving my brain time to recuperate. It works.

There’s also more than a few ‘shrooms going round. And I used to live across the street from a drug dealer who sold weed.

I’ve heard stories of the chemistry majors making their own drugs, but I’m not sure what. They get busted every now and then, usually after their apartment catches fire, or something else to endanger the regular people who are outside of campus.

        My school’s effed up. O_O

      4. Yeah the drug they use is called pseudoephedrine it makes you all hyper and stuff which is why it’s regulated. It’s ok, one of the share houses I lived in before moving in with my partner, it got raided by police one day while I was at work because my housemate’s phone got tapped and he was buying drugs. The cops went through all my stuff. I felt very violated. I had nothing to do with any of it, the only illegal drug I’ve tried was pot and I didn’t like it. I used to have a painkiller addiction, and for the longest time I couldn’t see it as a problem because it was “legal” and I wasn’t breaking any law. I nearly killed my liver. I’m all good now though. And it’s because of people like me that those painkillers have now been regulated too. We have phenergen here which is an antihistamine and it has sleep side effects. I was actually prescribed it by my shrink as a non addictive sleeping aid. So yeah, there’s drugs everywhere. Don’t worry I won’t think less of you for trying to get some sleep!
